Migración de blogger a WordPress.org conseguida
Ya di el paso. Tras un año con logo nuevo y plantilla mejorada en blogger hemos dado el salto a WordPress.org con el objetivo de crecer y mejorar.
El proceso ha sido largo porque me he encargado de todo. He valorado donde coger el hosting después de leer infinidad de post, de instalar WP (son sólo dos clicks pero hay que darlos bien a la primera, jajaja), de elegir una plantilla que me gustara, personalizarla y MIGRAR el blog.
Pero ya está aquí, ya puedes verlo y si estás pensando en migrar tu blog o página web aquí te cuento paso a paso cómo ha sido mi experiencia.
El proceso ha sido entretenido a la vez que un poco lioso, y es que servidora no se lleva demasiado bien con estas cosas, pero como a cabezota no me gana nadie…, pues aquí estoy. ¡Lo he conseguido!
A continuación te voy a indicar los pasas que he dado.
- Elegir donde comprar el hosting. Yo lo he cogido en Webempresa. Allí me han asesorado y ayudado un montón. De hecho, como decía unas líneas más arriba instalar WP son dos clicks, pero hay que hacerlo bien y yo no lo hice. Así que después de ver que no avanzaba ellos me indicaron y realmente fueron dos clicks.
- Instalar WP. Haciéndolo bien no lleva más de dos minutos.
- Elegir una plantilla. Yo compré una premium porque no encontraba una gratuita que me cuadrara y luego la adapté a mi estilo.
- Lo más importante MIGRAR el blog. Esto era lo que más miedo me daba, pero lo conseguí. Migrar la información del blog me ha llevado literalmente cinco minutos escasos con el plugin adecuado. ¡Una pasada!
- Redireccionar el dominio. Yo he mantenido el dominio con la empresa que lo tenía y he modificado los DNS para que apuntaran al nuevo sitio. Antes de modificarlos he trabajado con un dominio temporal gracias a webempresa. No sé si otras empresas dan esta posibilidad,pero la verdad es que tener esta opción ha facilitado mucho las cosas.
- Tras esto había que retirar la URL temporal e indicar definitivamente mi dominio. Aquí cometí un error y me di cuenta de ello mientras realizaba el siguiente punto, que creo que fue el peor de todos con creces.
- Al llegar a este momento, yo pensaba que lo peor había pasado con el punto 5, pero no, quedaba éste. Y debo decir que ha sido lo peor, peor del proceso. Había que quitar el error 404 y no me veía capaz. Al pinchar en los posts, la url erar un horror, algo así como www.enmicajondesastre.com/www.enmicajondesastre.com/nombre-del-post. Al ver eso temblé y pensé WTF.
No tenía ni idea de qué paso había dado mal. Lo miré con mi marinovio me dijo dónde creía él que estaba el error y se puso a echarlo un ojo. En paralelo contactamos con la gente de Webempresa, para quienes sólo tengo palabras de agradecimiento y ellos me lo solucionaron. ¡Gracias, gracias y gracias! ¡Y aquí está!
